Can I recover my AIM buddy list? I sure hope so...

Yea, so, I don't know about the rest of you, but I created my AIM account like 6 years ago and throughout that time I of course had my password automatically saved.

Well, I go to sign on this morning and my password is not there, the nice little astericks that accompany my screen name are gone...and I have NO idea what it is.

What's that you say? Do the "forgotten password" e-mail reminder? Yea, about that...see I used a false e-mail when I created the account, and for no reason. Just decided to do something like jon134234324@yahoo.com, don't ask me why.

Yea yea, I used all the nice little programs to try and help me recover it as well too, none of them work now that AIM doesn't store passwords locoally anymore...greattttttt. So then I tried getting ahold of AIM, and of course they have this nice policy that says if you change your e-mail and DO NOT notify them, well, your pretty much screwed.

So now I realize it's not that I want to keep using that old screen name, I just want my god **** buddy list! I do not remember nearly any of them by heart, and to lose them all would just be horrible.

Does anyone know how to recover lost Buddy Lists???? I tried searching up and down, and can't really find anything. But I thought I would try hear.

It's my last hope....anyone?

sadly, you need the Save Password thing checked (which he does not have checked obviously, or he would not have this problem) for that thing to work.

he said he had it checked, so perhaps something within the program itself got messed up, so the info might still be in the registry.

Not recoverable.

You would need to have an AIM Admin reset your email or password. You COULD just crack it, worst-case scenario. Tip: Use Proxies.
