5.1 Surround sound headset worth it?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826159004

Anyone try here try 5.1 headset. I'd like some imput on quality of sound; I'd imagine 5.1 channels of sound coming from a headset would be somewhat distorted.

thing is with 5.1 headsets the only thing they can do is give you 5 channels, the sound quality on most if not all of them are absolute crap. if you just want 5 channel audio without caring for quality then the 5.1 headphones are fine.

What the hell... I've read those reviews they are all across the board and I can't really trust them. I'm asking for input on ANY 5.1 headset from the people around here. Linking those reviews was a waste of time good job.

Thanks for that info on the quality. I'm looking into 5.1 headsets for serious gaming I know I need all those channels but I don't know is top quality is required. I'm guessing for gaming 5.1 headphones would be okay right?

Don't ask why unless you want to join them.
I have the Zalman Theatre 6 5.1 Surround headphones along with a SB Audigy 2 ZS, and games sound amazing. I can always tell which direction the sound is coming from, they did a really good job of separating the 5 channels. I can hear things that other people don't, and they often think I'm cheating.

Sheeze! Just didn't know if you would get much input here or whether or not you could see the review link. Hope clicking it didn't waste too much of your precious life.

I own a Steel Sound 5H and use it with a Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic, it's an awsome improvement from my Sennheiser PC-150's.

I'd say the only worthy "5.1 Headsets" are:
- Steel Sound 5H
- Zalman [Insert Model Number Here, Blahblahl]
- Speelink Medus
