HELP! 550watt sunbeam causes high pitched beep

I just received my 550watt sunbeam modular psu. Installed it and everytime i try to start up I get a very high pitched beep, havent heard it this high before. Its short and then it turns off. I plugged in my old super flower and my comp works fine.

what's your rig?
try to reset cmos
if nobody prints out an alternative: rma as quick as possible

current rig (new one for this case is on the way)

VNF3-250
3200+ newcastle
9500pro (6800nu toast)
40 gig WD caviar sata.

I guess i should have tried reseting cmos, but my old psu works just fine.

Additional Comment:
Nothing has worked, ive request a RMA.

do you have a 20 or a 24 pins PSU? / mobo? report combination plz.
is your 4-pins p4 power connector attached properly?
what was your old psu?

make sure u dont have any split wires touching metal parts. plug it into a diff wall outlet and see what happens. unplug everything except the motherboard and video card and see what happens.

tried everything, and nothing works. Old psu thats in it right now is a superflower 350watt. mobo is 20 pin, everything is attched properly.

Ifyou unplug the meter you won't get the beep. It's the meter tellying you there is power. Your PS is working as it should.

Additional Comment:
Just saw the other post... Does the PSU run your system? Or are you concerned about the BEEP?

Well I unplugged it ofcourse. No the PSU does not power my system, it turn off in under a second. then i have to flick the power switch on the psu off then on to do it again.

After unplugging the meter did you reinstall the jumpers? If you left them un connected the fan will not run & the PSU will shut down. There are 2 jumpers. The manual may help you with this problem.
What MB are you using? Case? you could have it miss wired.
Another thing to try is starting the PSU with a jumper, green to black ( ATX 20-24 pin connector ). There is a guid for doing this on this site.
