Yea, I didn't feel like fiddling with Javascript trying to make it cross-browser, then PHP/HTML trying to make it pretty, I said F-it i'm just gonna make a simple little EXE.

if this site ran ASP I could whip up an online app in less than a half an hour, as I am sure whitemike could do also since it appears he knows VB. I just dont know PHP at all.

I have heard of that ASP2PHP Proggy before. I guess I could whip something up in JavaScript also if Jason gives it the OK. Id rather not do all the work, and then have Jason not like the idea of putting it up on the site.

Hmm.. I never really though about this before. I suppose I could integrate a preview like this into the sig page so people wouldn't have to download anything. I need to update the sig code anyhow, there were a couple requests for a sig image giving only the team box.

Sounds more like your idea being integrated IIRC.

Still very nice job and great FAH effort

Sounds more like he is going to integrate your code into the page, not scrap it. If you update the app like you were talking about, I could convert it to ASP very easily if you supplied me with the source code. There are not that many differences from VB to ASP, mostly syntax issues. From there I could toss it into ASP2PHP and get a PHP file for Jason to toss up on the site if you would feel comfortable with that. If that is something you can do yourself, thats cool. I am not trying to step on any toes here, I just really like the idea, and want to help anywhere I can.

Jason, if you like that idea just let me know. I have been doing websites for 9 years professionally now, and have 6 years programming experience with ASP, JS, and CSS. Just say the word if you could use a hand. I would love to donate some time to the cause.

lol, I think I can manage. I think it would be a little more efficient if I coded it directly since I can bypass image caching and other things for it to work better. But thanks for the offer.

Sure, should I add a "team" box since that's for any team? Not sure if Jason would like this idea though.

Can I get a little "Original idea by [link to this thread]whitem1ke88[/link]" just so I can feel popular?

I have one already and I was going to put it in the original code but I wanted to release it fast, so I never did

I agree that some sort of color picker would be nice for those of us that don't think of colors in terms of 6 hex digits. I suppose there are plenty of those around already but if it were integrated that would be even better.

If someone wrote the code in ASP, maybe I could look at it in PHP.
Meh!

I have added it.
Do as you wish for team box, it's not difficult to change manually the team number in the bbcode
