G.Skill 2GBHZ 2x1GB Sticks Are Nice!

After running into a ton of problems with the Crucial Ballistix 2x1gb kits (as many others), I've gotten some G.Skill 2x1gb HZ DIMMs to use.

Just got them in tonight and did a little playing. I have definatly not pushed these to the max yet. All I did was put them in and boot.

These are looking very promising!

2.58v for these results.

More to come!

****, nice job. I was one of the unfortunate who bought the zx right before they started to become horrible. It started when they shipped and one of the sticks was actually dead, then i had to rma it, and i can get like 250 out of them but thats about it, and not past liek 240 1:1 at x11 multi

**** Stealth, that's pretty impressive. The CPU running on DD-X still? Those volts don't seem enough to require such heavy cooling

I choose 2.5v in bios. I have a vdimm mod too which I have to pot as low as it will go. It still adds just a little voltage though. I measure 2.58v with my DMM.

Thx mate

Yeh, still on the DD-X atm. Dont really need it your right but just for playing around with the ram its not worth it to unmount the DD-X and stuff. Plus I run the DD-X 24/7 and have my cpu at 280x12=3360mhz 1.64v

Its a nice 24/7 to say the least! I may bump up to 285x12=3420 and stabilize that for a 24/7 now that I know my ram is willing.

I got my ram and am really liking it. I got some errors in memtest test #8 at 265mhz (2.7v), so I dropped it down to 260mhz and it's running like a champ. Going to tweak it out a bit more when I have some time, but so far it's a ton faster than my old stuff.

Just a quick question, I stumbled across this review and was wondering if this were true. It says the HZ GSKILL 4000 chips are the same as my HS 3200. The review says they loosened up the timings to the same as the ddr500 and upped the voltage and got 272 with 2.8v. One thing I noticed is the numbers are different in the review than what I got off of newegg. The review says F-1 3200USU2 and F1-4000USU2, but what I have and whats out on the egg now says F1 3200USU1 and F1 4000USU1. Still the same chips respectively?
