Windows Media Player 11 - Sooo Slow

Ok first of all i have;

P4 D940 @ 3.8Ghz
2Gb OCZ 800Mhz Ram
250Gb sATA drive (80Gb free)
Akasa 670w PSU

I have about 40gb of songs and i have recently given my PC a format. After putting my files back on and updating to WMP 11 and IE 7 i imported all my songs and WMP was using 300k of memory and going so slow. So i removed all the songs and still its pants...

Any ideas?

What does slow mean? The whole computer or the songs playback choppy?

What does that mean? Does WMP "pants" or surfing the web.

Also, the first time you give WMP 40GB worth of songs, WMP will create a database. Give that a few hours to complete . . . maybe even overnight.
