EOC Folding@Home Team

I've been folding for a month now on my work machine. So today I decided to add 4 more machines to help the cause.

Ps3 ftw! Of course i got into the EOC team on it.

I just started running FAH. I did however notice that the guide in this thread is maybe outdated? the application is winFAH.exe when I installed it not the one console one listed in the thread, and it also already installed to my startup. But any who Im up and running on my AMD athlon 3200+ until I get my Q6700 up and running cause waiting on my asus striker RMA.

Im going to join in a few days, going to be using my PS3. Im going to wait untill I get my internet problems worked out first. Ill update this when its all ready.

I'm something of a long time SETI@Home guy but also do some folding on the side. Now that I've got a computer worth over clocking and I'm hanging out here to learn more, I'm in!

Just set it up on one of my work machines - I'll add another work machine in a bit but can't wait to get home and start folding for real on my quad core.

after a long hiatus, im back.

got a PS3 and DLing the app now. figure having the PS3 on and folding will eat up less energy and subsequently less money from my pocket.

I tried it, but when I quickly scroll with my scroll wheel (the one that unlocks itself so it spins really fast), my game freezes. Maybe they'll fix it some time... but as I use my scroll wheel as much as any button on my keyboard while playing, I really can't have it freezing up. I'm thinking about bothering my school to include it in their next ghosting image though - that'd surely get some folding done (considering the hundreds of computers that sit idle all day in that **** place).

That would be cool. If your gaming just stop it temporarily then start back up when finished.

I actually fixed that by messing with my game (I bound the wheel to a function instead of a whole macro). Either way, works now, and I'm up and folding :o.

okay I still dont understand what this is about. I have a 2.6 p4 that runs 24/7 but my rig only runs for about 4 hours a day because its a little power hog. i also have a 1.8 sempron file sharing server that runs 24/7. is it worth it for me to setup this stuff. Since reading stuff about deadlines kinda scares me i don't want to be responsible for somthing. i dont think my powerful rig will be any help since when it is on im either CAD rendering or gaming. 3.2 amd 6000 x2. Electricity isnt cheap either. I have a ps3 but its on maybe 2-3 times a week for an hour at a time so im sure its not worth it.
Thanks for any advice and please tell me if its worth it.

nah to my understanding they just send the WU to someone else if you don't get it in on time. I don't think you get anything marked up against you.

Back folding again. Girlfriend cheated on me 3 times in one night, so I snagged the missing part to my old build: RAM from her computer (she knows NOTHING about computers) and now i'm back in business. (she had 2 512mb sticks, I just took 1 stick of 512)
