Hang time waiting on new Wu's

Does anyone else have this issue? My Wu will finish, process, and send to Stanford with no problems. Then when it tries to connect to the server to get a new Wu, it either hangs at that point for 15-30min or it will get to "receiving" new payload and hang there for 15-30min. Sometimes I'll come back from classes and find out that it was hanging for like 3hours. It doesn't happen every time, but I'd say 1/10 times it does that.

Servers are having hiccups today FYI. However you might check firewalls.

Something like this has happened to me before where I just so happened to look at the console to observe progress and find it would keep saying failed to send finished units and sit there. I just close and open the console a few times and it finally sends and retrieves a new unit. Try doing that and see what happens.

Ok, but it has been doing this for some time now....about a month I'd say. I checked my firewall, and F@H has full access to the net w/o limits.

That works every time. I just have to reset the console. I just wish that it wouldn't do that so often.

There is almost always a delay after finishing up a WU before submitting it to the servers. This is done to allow the threads to all sync up before sending.

Well this just happened again to me today. Only this time it made over 20 different attempts over a span of 6 hours trying to get a new unit. Anyone know why this is happening? Are their servers just too overloaded or what?

[22:33:39] - Error: Attempt #17 to get work failed, and no other work to do.
Waiting before retry.
also my SMP comp hit something about 0.0.0.0 not being able to get work... that's in this forum somewhere.

AFAIK they fixed it, occasionally I'll get failure to get work on first attempt..
wish stanford would work this out lol

I have a problem similar to this on my SMP rigs.

They will submit their units and wait something like 10-20 minutes before they retrieve the new WU. If I stop and start the client it will instantly get a new WU. Its weird, its almost like it just waits before contacting to get a new WU.
