My dual 1.26 p3 is running SMP right now, its cutting it close, gonna be in the deadline by maybe half a day >.< sadly when I render on this box it may cause me to miss deadlines, but we shall see, if I miss them too frequently I will go back to 2 standard clients. I don't think that any of the slower dual p3 rigs will be able to cut it though so they will stay with dual consoles when I have them running.(just got to 20% at 1% per hour, and the unit is due in almost exactly 3 days and one hour(been running for ~23 hours so far with a random reboot in there for some odd reason, I think it was a windows update >.<))

same here I'm only a little behind my normal ppd but that should hopefully be stepping up soon

Additional Comment:

UPDATE: got the dual 1.26 running SMP and I just got a big point WU the other day so I'd assume its going fine. Also still have my sempron folding, and my parents 2.4ghz p4 might still be going. I also got a 2.0 GHz mobile p4 going now just started it 5 minutes ago, thats on my temp laptop that will be serving me until I can purchase a new one.

Hey guys, sorry about my unreliable output. I've been trying to keep the systems folding but they are always flaking out for one reason or another. I've just reinstalled the clients on two machines. Hopefully by spring break I'll have more time to redo the others and get back up to full speed.

SMP (Symmetric/Simultaneous Multiple Processing/er ...right?)

If so... then PS3 would use some form of it to use all of its cores (is my guess), but not the same one as PC I would think.

And... anyone want to welcome me back? My Opty SMP is pretty much back online, and I've sent away for the PS3, now only Sony and the Postal Service between me and those extra points

(And seems my custom 'status' text has disappeared... but not my sig. I had to reactivate my email address for my account too - curious. Hope all is well from now on)

I think the PS3 units are like SMP crossed with the GPU client. It runs about 3 or 4 units per day for about 900ppd.

I still havent got my third rig running. I actually havent got a third folder due to me selling all the parts and the mobo dying. I think I might just get a pair of q6600 g0's and just replace my cpus. Hmmmmmm.....

Was a bit worried for my ps3 for a bit there. But apparently instead of the 125/250pt units it's been getting, the last two seem to have been 1500 pointers. I guess the results will filter through soon.

Additional Comment:

And lo and behold, it comes in when as I post that last bit.

I think for us to really start making waves we'd need to take over leader as our leader hasn't been on since Feb, and purge and rebuild.... so when is the draft happening lol

Go for it Tai. I am still not rich enough to buy a new motherboard and psu.

I have also kind of lost my will to put effort into folding. I originally start folding when my father was diagnosed with cancer - that was about 3 years ago. He died on Good Friday this year without the doctors ever being able to do anything about it.

The National Health Service in Britain is a heap of crap - so never come here for anything serious!

On a good note - I will continue folding until I see the fun disappear. I feel a sense of charity doing folding at the moment - but it is not as fun as it used to be as I don't have the income I used to. I really enjoyed beating runlinux to the top 100 of the team!

If we had a more pro-active team, maybe I would become a bit more involved in everything.....

Unfortunately my production has been crappy too because of funds. I can afford the power bills (I don't pay for that ) but new rigs are money I could use for a car or something else.
