are the stats not updating?

i was wondering if the stats are updating? i noticed that all teams havent had an update since 9 am

I noticed that too, the server is getting a 403/Forbidden error when trying to get the files. I sent a PM to Bruce, if I don't hear anything back tomorrow I'll send on to Vijay. I know they have been having to put some measures on their site to prevent people from pounding it, it probably got blocked by accident or something.

i have noticed that sometimes today when i go to look at their stats directly that i get a check back in 15 mins because of maintence figured it had something to do with that.. oh well thanks for the speed reply hope things work out with out much of a hitch

Looks like someone posted this on the FC forum too, and I got quite a few emails in my inbox this morning... lol.

Anyhow, Vijay is aware of the issue and I sent him a PM with the server's IP so hopefully it will get resolved soon.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I've not had my stats here updated since 4AM PST (11AMGMT) on Friday, 3/23/07...or should I say, I completed a 2125 WU at about that time, and as of now it's not in my stats here at EOClocking.com. Later in the day, I completed a 2124 WU on my G5 and it's not reported either... The stats over at the FAHome page for my Team 38910 seem to be up to date...it's just here at EOClocking.com that I find myself 970 points and 3 work units down.

Apparently the problem is with EOClocking.com's site and not Stanford/Vijay's site?

Is that correct, or is something else going on?

I'm at 257,465 points there, and 256,495 here, with 3 missing work units..so far. I've got a 2124 (392 points) that completes in 30 minutes, and a 3041 (186 points) that will complete at about 5PM, and it would be nice to see them in my stats for this week...as it stands, I'll be 5 WU's down for the week if they don't get reported/tallied.

I know that there's probably nothing to worry about, that the stats here will get updated/fixed/problem resolved, but any estimate on *when* that's going to happen?

Thanks for any insight on the situation, as it would be greatly appreciated.

Ah, ok, that explains it. Are we going to lose the WU's submitted during this time? I was working on this **** 755 pointer for like 6 days and it finally submitted yesterday, and I was waiting for it until I saw this thread.

No points will be lost. Once the EOC server gets unblocked the points difference just show up in the next update.

Anyhow, Vijay is still looking into it, the server *should* of been unblocked but it isn't. I re-emailed him the server's IP(s).

I saw on the folding-community forum that Kako stats are also down (and hard-folding the other day). I guess Stanford's script it a little too sensitive.

Haven't gotten a reply yet today, though it is Sunday so I wouldn't expect them to be working.

I'm working on a temporary solution right now (download the files to my linux box at home, then have the EOC server grab them from there).

After I get that hopefully going I'm going to email Vijay again and offer to help with some database / code optimization. It seems like their DB / stats have really been struggling lately for some reason.

Well, don't know is this is a coincidence or not, the system seems to really have gone to hell as soon as WinSMP was released as public. If not a cause it definitely didn't help them.

While I was waiting for files to download I went ahead and just tried again to see if the server could get the files from Stanford... *SUCCESS*

I guess they finally unblocked it.

I'm manually running the update right now. I'm sure the numbers will be a little quirky at first because of the points surge but they will settle back down after a couple days.
