8600gt help

ok I just got my 8600gt, running at 1680x1050 in unrealtournament 2k4 I getting an average of 40 - 60 fps with the "holy ****" settings on. HELP these fps are killing me.

either lower your resolution or remove some eye candy... its not the upper high end card.. migh be the reason why you are running some bottleneck from the gpu part

Running windows xp sp2, and vista ultimate. have the latest drivers from nvidia as well as of yesterday.


complete system is PD915, ASUS p5nsli mobo, patriot signature ddr2 667 running 5 5 5 15 timings, 550watt psu, SataII Maxtor 160gig hd.

try reinstalling the drivers properly with driver cleaner

bluf...ok, for like 100th time

1. download the new drivers (or not if you already have the newest)
2. download driver cleaner
3. install driver cleaner
4. uninstall your drivers
5. restart to safe mod
6. run driver cleaner (clean nvidia)
7. restart to normal windows
8. install the new drivers
9. restart the pc one again

this is for your video drivers
