How do I stop these active sessions?

Well I have been getting alot of lag in games, and everyone on my network is getting lots of lag as well... so I checked my router (d.link gigabit wired router) and saw alot of active sessions under my local IP... See attached for the active sessions. I'm 192.168.0.193

So how the heck do I stop these? its way more than anyone else has running... and I'm sure this is most-likely contributing to some of the lag. Please help.

EDIT:

Okay, well it looks like alot of those IP's goto aim's website... so I uninstalled AIM from my computer, but its still running in the Active sessions... I'm going to see if I cant block it on the router or something.

most of em are HTTP sessions.. you really think this is causing your lag?

80 : HTTP
443: SSL over HTTP
53 : is prolly some DNS traffic

72.14.*.* are google addresses

206.*.*.* are indeed AIM addresses

Oh, you probably have some spyware listening there to have you checked?

209.62.182.190 seems suspicious.

Have you checked a internet connection speed tester?

EST = Established
CL = Closed
TW = Time Wait
LA = ?

The closed ones are just sitting around waiting for the TTL to expire on them probably. But yes a majority are going to http servers. 53 is DNS queries.

I think what people posted above would be some good steps to help track down the culprit.

What is your ISP?

My ISP is TimeWarner, and I'm getting descent download speeds ~14down and ~2up

I still get the problem with my connection pop-up in battlefield 2142 and Bf2, but its not as often as it was. I did a complete spyware scan on all of the computers on my network, mine had a couple entries and the other two computers had a good amount of spyware on them, but they all were quarantined by Spybot S&D. So after I did that I just restored the router to the factory Defaults, and unplugged it for a hour and used a different router to test if I still had lag in Battlefield, and I did, so I plugged the D.Link one back in. And now my dad can actually see me on the list of workgroup computers (before he could only ping me). So thats a plus.

But my computer was on all day and I was busy all day, while my dad and my little brother played Lord of the Rings Online, and Battlefield 2... and they claimed there was very little to no lag. I have yet to play a session of Battlefield 2142, I'm sure I can fit some BF2142 into my schedule tomorrow

So thanks for helping. We shall see if it solved my problems....

Just to make double sure, post a HJT log to be sure you don't have any spyware. The reason I ask is because if you got rid of most of it, there will be a reoccurance.

TTL is dependent on the OS, ex Windows is 128, linux uses 64. Regardless, not what I was after. I was talking about the amount of seconds the router will keep a non-active connection in its IP table. Example, Linksys defaults to 3600 seconds (1 hour) which is WAY to long for any router.

Wait... I don't see anything about outgoing, just incoming packets being blocked. I would say that people are trying to DoS you .

Also, I would guess that you are on cable.

I'm on cable alright... I am going to call my ISP tomorrow, because this is just impossible to game online.

Attached is my HJT log. And if this helps determine the problem of the lag, apparently my brother was playing Lord of the rings just about all day, and he claimed he never had any lag until everyone (my dad and I) started playing BF2. And BF2 was fine for a little bit, then it started getting the problem with the connection crap, and my brother also had lag in LOTRO....

I have UPnP enabled and tried enabling and disabling the SP1 firewall. And I even bought a new Linksys BEFSR41 v4.2 router for $50 from Fry's the other night, installed it and then I though it may have been fixed... but nay. When we all get on and play it gets lag like crazy. So I'm going to call up my ISP. I am really getting sick and tired of Road Runner or Timewarner, whatever they call themselves... we HAD Adelphia, but they were bought out by these guys... and its been crappy every since then.

Ports 1027 & 1028 are windows related. Probably someone just port scanning IPs trying to find an open machine, so your router is doing good by blocking them.

Additional Comment:

Maybe try disabling / uninstalling the AMD Dual-Core Optimizer?

Okay, thanks Jason.

I unistalled the Dual-Core Optimizer, and I can't say it helped anything yet. I shall see when everyone gets home from work and starts playing games.
