Holy ****! this thing is HOT!

Wow, is the 650i Ultra northbridge supposed to be this hot? It does not have a temperature diode, but i am guessing that the heatsink it is 60-70c! It literally raised a blister at the point where i touched the edge of the hs! The board is stable, but this is worrying me!

Yeh the NB does get very hot, I would be slightly concerned, are you overclocking it? Or is it at stock.
Try a better cooling solution on it.

Put a small (40mm) fan on top of the heatsink.

Should do wonders.

Well if it's at those temps on stock there's most likely a problem with the board. But the nVidia 6 series NB's are known to be hot.

My system is 100% stable, running at 400fsb at 1.4v, but it is very hot... im surprised that the nb can handle that kind of heat...

The last couple of mobos I've used, Asus P5N-SLI and some cheap AM2 ECS mobo both had disgustingly hot NB heatsinks. It's funny how companies won't install some $1 fan on it.
