cpu or board fsb wall ?

hey guys, i have a newbie ?. i have a p5k premium bp edition and wondering if the board has a wall or is it the cpu. if at 8x my e6750 dosent boot when i set 500 fsb no matter what voltage but i set the multi to 7x and can get 520 is that a wall on the chip or something with the board. even my e6850 at 8x when put to 500 fsb wont post. any idea as to why that is.

I'll let you know when I get home from work tonight. I do know that I am using the bios that it shipped with which is the 204 I think...I'll check it out later.
