e8400 and cpuz

well i was looking at cpuz and my cpu go's to 2000mhz X6 then to to 3000mhz9X wtf is this ok??? please reply asap

you have speedstep on and some other power saving stuff... this is ok unless you OC

^^Yup. Disable EIST and C1E in bios if you don't want it to do that.

how do u disable speedstep if it dont have the option too in the bios but is enabled

What mobo? EIST= speedstep. C1E= enhanced halt state (along those lines)

Most turn it off, as it might start to interfere with oc stability. If you are worried about the electric bill then leave it on, otherwise turn it off, IMO of course.
