o system P4 3.0 Intel motherboard 1 gb ram 1650 Pro AGP newer 250 GB seagate also newer PS FSP 550 watt newer nothing else really notible has happended. this has coincided with a decrease in stability in general computer use. any ideas? |

Video can look like that if the computer is overheating or video card is overheating. That would be my first guess. I'd probably try using some air and clean the computer of dust/dirt if there is any.

liek jimh said check temps make sure its not getting too hot. if that doesnt resolve it my first stop would be RAM. silicon oly has a certian amount of read/writes useally in excces of 100,000 but RAM being used lots means it is the most likely thing to die first

o great! two very likely happenings. RAMs old and ddr is expensive and my comps overheating but i cant do anything about it right now. well new computer here i come.
