Question my computer shakes in fear!

well not really but the video screen feed does shake sometimes. not really sure whats going on but i dont think its the cable. Could it be the monitor? i have a viewsonic Pf90. couple years old. i also have a 1650 pro AGP that is relatively new. i am beginning to think that this computer is dying and is on its last legs if your also aware of my other posts in the cpu forum.

o system
P4 3.0
Intel motherboard
1 gb ram
1650 Pro AGP newer
250 GB seagate also newer
PS FSP 550 watt newer

nothing else really notible has happended.
this has coincided with a decrease in stability in general computer use.

any ideas?

Video can look like that if the computer is overheating or video card is overheating. That would be my first guess. I'd probably try using some air and clean the computer of dust/dirt if there is any.

liek jimh said check temps make sure its not getting too hot. if that doesnt resolve it my first stop would be RAM. silicon oly has a certian amount of read/writes useally in excces of 100,000 but RAM being used lots means it is the most likely thing to die first
