The gt280's will definatively crush 8800gtx's 9800gtx's 9800GX2's and all other cards alike leaving nothing behind but scorched pcie slots.

wonder if they will crush them for 269$ now. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...Force+8800+GTX Darn I see even the 9800 gtx's are going down too. Im starting to think it might be worth getting. Because they seem to be selling them out before the 9900 come out and I have a feeling there going to cost 600+ when they do come out. Wish they would leak the price out soon.

Yup no less than around $639-649. when they hit the shelves thats for sure. I can't wait to put my hands on one of those badboys. Time for my 8800GTx to get a rest, he's almost 2 years old, but still going strong!

I have 2 identical computers , only difference is one has sli 8800gtx's and the other has sli 9800gtx's .

After doing hours of 1900x1200 testing , im now gaming on the 8800gtx computer mainly because of the high rez i can run and 500 more meg of memory.

If you look around , you can find them for cheap .

I got my 2nd 8800gtx for 100 bucks used :P

They all do that but , the ultras and gtx's held their value longer than any card ive seen since the 6800gtx .

Is there any huge difference between the bugdget 8800GTX and the high grade GTX's? Im looking at some OEM GTX's compared to an XFX one and i'm not seeing much difference..

What car have you got in your sig, and 640hp is insane!!!

Good choice. The only people sticking to their guns on the old G80's are the owners themselves. It'd be foolish to buy one now since better cards are right on the horizion in the next few months. Yes the 8800GTX will finally be laid to rest my friends.

I just got this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814134035 Just couldnt see myself spending the money I spent on my Ultra card ever again. Im going to hold off a year more. That way when the new new junk comes out to replace the new junk this month I wont feel so bad. Then I can just move in and get the new junk at 1/3 the price they are going to be this month
That and by then I should have the wife sold so I can get the 60+ LCD TV, moving that card to my HTPC
