Stats Signature Mod/Rewrite

Hi guys, love the stats sigs, very nice touch indeed.

have you considered adding a Mod/Rewrite rule to the webserver so the output is JPG though?

That way they could be used in many more places, as a lot of forums do not allow the php output.

we use Mod/Rewrite to do this to our BF2 and COD4 sigs, and it works quite well.

Additional Comment:

heres the 2 rules we use, if their any help.

PHP Code:
RewriteEngine on
    RewriteRule
^/([0-9]*).png$ /var/www/serverstats.gamingsa.com/bf2stats/sigs/sig.php?id=$[NC
PHP Code:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule
^index-([^-]+)-([^-]+)-([^-]+).pngindex.php?id=$1&sid=$2&skin=$3  [L,NC,NS

Well, I added the directory method for people that couldn't link a PHP files as an image and nobody has complained since then. But yeah I supposed I can make a 3rd option where it looks like an actual image file...

I'm sure whoever's writing the sig code would know, but if it had to be turned into an image file, gif would handle it better.

oh, how does the directory method work?

Additional Comment:

Ah I see, we got the directory method working ok, but lost the ability to edit the colors along the way, is that correct, or we are just doing it wrong?
