I don't understand what the grip is.
When Xp came out, how ground breaking was it from 2000? Or 2000 to 98?

There are far to many stupid people in the world, that have computers for them to change the OS that much. If this wasn't true then Linux would have took off by now.

I think they put as much in as possible, before people got to where it was un-useable for average people. ( you seen how it has taken off because of this )

What do you want from Microsoft? It's one company against a array of penius envy hackers, stuck in the basement of their parents house, wishing they had a girl. But instead rather hack and destroy peoples systems.

Last time I checked nobody in here was working on a OS. You all make it sound so simple.

Vista is a leap forward. But you can only go so far at a time. XP is old and outdated. I just don't see where the problem lies. Plus does this not affect all versions?

You show me a perfect OS, and I will show you a Fine *** woman who cooks and cleans.

You can't get mad at Microsoft, when you get a virus from being on a dangerous site.

So lets all get mad at microsoft for not making a "break through" OS, and not being able to predict the future of hacking.

Because lets face it, we all can right?

Moderation People!

I installed it back when i had XP, it didn't screw anything up and it also had a changer to DX9 in case it would be needed. DXDiag and the Source engine were reporting DX10. Unfortunately i didn't have time to test it on true DX10 games.

Care to elaborate on your personal experience with Vista, or is this just a drive-by?

He's either a troll or an idiot. Windows ME was the worst Microsoft OS by far.

It's not a failure and it's not really Microsoft's fault either.

some of it is, they really botched the vista install/update process. Just going through the agony of an SP1 install getting the 0xc0000034 error right now on my other PC... System restore is stuck on Finalizing, so I think I'm going to have to reinstall windows. Then there's also an issue where you can't have any hdd's plugged in but the ones you are putting your OS on when using RAID for your main drive or windows won't install. And so on.

I know its better than FAT but imo it is still far outdated. The others dont even need to be defragged.
