i think he is looking at the overall ampage on the +12 rail...yours had 16 + 17 = 33A, and his had one large rail of 49A.
So overall the one he pointed out had a greater +12 volt output... and thus should be a better buy. Mind you i cant really comment on the quality of the pc power and cooling one becuse i dont think we have them in the uk. |

Better and the same price. http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/Produc...tCode=10007111 ![]() It also has to do with the quality of the powersupply also. PC P&C, Seasonic, Corsair (most are all Seasonic built anyway), Silverstone, all are top quality PSUs and are known for power output and longevity. TT PSUs aren't bad, but are far from ideal. Josie Wales and Mr. Scott can shed more light on the subject, and both often frequent the PSU section. |

Return the TT I have never heard anything good about their build quality
If I were you I would get one large enough for a second 4870 if you have any plans of going that way. If no the PCP&C is a great PS There 750 quad is what I have and it is a rock one rail 60 amp the 750 would be a great choice if you are thinking CF down the road |

Yes, one thing I would never buy from Best Buy is a powersupply. They simply do not carry a "good" brand of powersupply, and in that I mean they don't carry the brands I listed above.

well as of right now i dont have a cross fire bored but was thinking about it later down the road then i also was thinking to my self is the 250 bucks relly worth that much more perfourmance? so im still debating on what i wanna do im needing anouter proc and the q6600 seems the best bang for the buck but i relly dont wanna buy a new mobo and spend even more cash on that i may end up with a 9950.

The only good Thermaltake PSU's are their Toughpower line.

$ 139.00 After rebate with free shipping
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817703009 That is a good deal for 750 watts http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139006 here is even a better deal for 750 watts I would have to say it would be hard to go wrong with either of these PSU's |

2 rails is not better than one in the power supply "game." A large, single 12-volt rail (without a 240VA limit) can transfer 100% of the 12-volt output from the PSU to the computer, while a multi-rail 12-volt design has distribution losses of up to 30% of the power supply's rating. Those losses occur because power literally gets "trapped" on under-utilized rails. For example, if the 12-volt rail that powers the CPU is rated for 17 amps and the CPU only uses 7A, the remaining 10A is unusable, since it is isolated from the rest of the system.
