So you basically want to split a video and photoshop a third eye onto a cat then put it back into a video ?

well
i want to 3rd eye the cat , frame by frame , as to imply motion i figure @ 25 fps , for a brief 5 second clip it shouldnt hurt too bad. the cat is willing to cooporate but yea split the video , then frame by frame -"inject" the extra "eye" Additional Comment: then re assemble the video - out of each modifyed pic Last edited by raggedraider : 11-29-2008 at 01:23 PM. I know VirtualDub has an option to export an entire video file, or a selection of frames in it, as images.
They may have been BMP's, not JPEG's, but working with JPEG would be ill advised for what you're trying to do anyway. As far as re-assembling them? I have no idea. |

Don't ask why unless you want to join them. |
Adobe premiere allows this. You are simply replacing frames.

am i right to think that this is the easiest way to put another eye on a cat? - or is there software that can render it from samples of movies ( or a movie of a cat )?
i do it with the " healing brush " alt-clik , and pop! , instant 3 eye cat! i see stuff like this on commercials all the time , what software do they use for computer graphics that can take an " sample movie " and mutate it ? thanx for any input |

yup
every frame the eye "thing " should be reasonably easy - because i can use the eye thats allready there -( even the one from the original frame ) - it would have the same reflection(s) , shadows , angle , ect - perhaps a few frames foward or back to get the random " blink" a third eye might have. hitting the same spot - when you move frame to frame ,would be tricky add the " loose " panning of the camera , maybe some other " distraction " and 25 frames are gone - ( along with the elusive 3 eye cat) |

it would be a total of 125 frames for around 5 sec
i could even upload it into the same camera that "illedigly" took the movie in the first place that should be the icing on the cake |

you can doule the frames to make it longer. Most people wont notice if it's on a small screen - ie a pdmp (<- personal digital media player, did I just make that up?)

there are tons of tutorials you can use on youtube to do this easily even if you have no experience with video editing the only thing is, the better you want it to look, the more keyframes you'll want to manually do by hand, and the longer it'll take |
