oh yea! Its been really helpful! I do have one more question. Ive been monitoring the temp off and on. and going so low that it cuts off the fan. then the temp goes back up a bit till it kicks the fan back on, which is a bit higher then i would like. Is there anyway to adjust when the fan comes on?

Additional Comment:

The Fan kicks on at 60 C. and turns off at 50 C. Before I applied the grease, the lowest the temp went was 55C.

I would like to help you, but the fan speeds are controlled by the board itself and unless a program can work around it (which I am not aware of, since each boards are unique) there is no way to control it

Nice guide Nagoshi. I have a laptop that over heats as well. I think I may have to try some things mentioned. It's an old P3. If the Ram gets too hot, it locks right up. Thanks for the tutorial. I'll let you know when I get some results.

I vote Sticky to the Tutuorial!!!

I undervolted and underclocked the sig rig to 600mhz with .95v (45c-60c) and also undervolted and overclocked at 2133mhz with 1.1v(54c-70c). Also overclocked at 2214mhz on 1.188v (60c-82c).

Good to see Carozzeria. How was it running before undervolting?

I'll have to take some time and retouch the guide, and clear some stuff up, maybe update it with new techniques if I can find something interesting.

Louder.

EXTREME EDIT:

I actually applied AS5 right away and that gave me 2-3c drop. I use CrystalCPUID Pure x64 Edition for my underclocking and voltage control. I really prefer it to RMClock. I usually run at 1600Mhz 9x177.8 on 1.025v (50-62c).
