Good PSU for my build?

A made a thread in another forum asking for help deciding on what parts to get, and a member recommended this PSU for me. I noticed that it isn't 80 Plus certified; should I instead get one that is? Oh, here's what it will be powering. That, more or less, is what I'll be getting. Might make a few changes here or there, with the motherboard and HDD's.

Obviously, after spending that kind of money I don't want to have gotten an inadequate power supply that will do in the rest of the components.

That PSU should be fine. If you dont plan on multiple GFX cards my personal preference would be.

Which is what I run, its plenty for your system and I run the same GFX card you will. 12.08V under Load tested with a multimeter.

The Corsair TX850 meets the 80 Plus Certification standard. In fact it is roughly 83% to 85% efficient in the typical operating range for your proposed system. It would be a very good choice.

Ok, good to know!

I noticed you have the "Plus" version of the card; where'd you get it from? I want to get that model, seeing as it's basically a free overclock and I'm no expert with overclocking.

From newegg. But all the 295's are the same reference clock speed. I honestly have no idea what the difference is between the + and the non +. I got it the day b4 they were out, and that was the only EVGA model that existed at the moment.

You won't really need to overclock the card, but rest assure, once you get your system up and running we can give you a blow by blow to safely overclock your video card.
