G. Skill F2-8500CL5D-2GBPK / 7750BE / M3A78-CM

These have not at all played well together...........as a matter of fact as a unit they will not boot/run/start/whatever you want to call it.

Bought the memory before I really researched it as I love the brand and thought PC-8500 was a way to go with the Kuma. However it seems the only board g. skill lists are intel ones.

Butttt........have managed to get the 85s to play real nice with my nView / Opty 1210.

So maybe I'm missing something as I would like to use the memory for what it originally was bougt for.

would you mind clarifying what you're trying to ask? Is it a compatibility issue you're wondering about?

That would be the issue, yes.......can this memory be made to work with the processor and motherboard mentioned?

The G Skil D9 sticks I have played well with my rigs. First a M2N-Deluxe and now the M3A79T-Deluxe. OC'ing them may bring out some issues as it does with many components at some point. The M2N rig rejected them after some higher OC attempts and going back to stock, it still gave a memory error beep code on post. Put in some Patriot EPP modules and that rig ran fine then on.

With the G SKil's sitting around, they were plugged into this new box. When it didn't error, it was confirmation they weren't fried from that bad OC attempt.

Memory is cheap so unfortunately, you may just have to pony-up for some different sticks.

Did you set the voltage for the ram in your bios before installing the ram?

I believe it needs 2.0~2.1 Volts.

thanks

And with a little of a week turn around I had it back and running! Doing well as for now have the combo running 3.17GHz on air.

Additional Comment:

Need to update! The new stuff worked like a charm! So that must have been the issue....
