Working with Automatic Proxy
It sucks b/c I'm going into temporary semi-retirement with the AEP announcements on the price hikes and mostly me having to renegotiate my contract recently. I can't afford the extra cost I've had the past year (not sure how some of you do it with the large farms) so these few boxes are the only ones left I can do anything on but need to get around the automatic proxy to continue to contribute a little. At least I hit 25 on the team and broke the 2 million mark! woohoo! heh ![]() Thanks for any help! ![]() Additional Comment: Guess if there's no way around it, I'm officially retired... Good luck.

We do not use proxy 'round here' so I did not have anything to suggest...I just leave the proxy setting blank on my setups. Good Luck! -mjb |

Just wondering, you have the same problem as here -> http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=9054
Maybe ccproxy could help you? |

Wanderlust, do you mean they have a wpad setup or an autoconfig script where you work? if so, you can try the use browser settings option which should work if the webproxy where you work supports windows based ntlm or kerberos authentication. If not you can see what proxy you connect to via netstat from a command line and just manually configure it. In other words, open a command prompt in windows and type netstat to see the tcp connections being made from your machine, them open your browser go to a website that forces you to login to the proxy server & login to it. then do netstat again, one of the new connections should be to your webproxy & the port should also be on the output of the netstat command.
