Vistageeks gaming build thread/ FINISHED! Take a look! (Updated April 21st))

I have an apevia x-cruiser case that i am working on. Going to spray paint the interior black. Added more fans.

These are my current specs:

CPU: e8400 @ 3.9mhz
GPU: 8800GTS 512
RAM: 4gb xms2 corsair
HDD1: 160gb w/d
mobo: gigabyte p31
case: apevia x-cruiser
Fans: x4 exhaust x1intake

I am upgrading my mobo and GPU too

New Specs:

CPU e8400 @ 4.0 ghz
GPU x2 8800GTS in SLI
RAM 4gb 800nhz @ 900mhz
HDD1 160GB W/D
HDD2 80gb W/D
Same Case
Same amount of fans

Speakers: Logitech g51's 5.1 surround

Unfortunately i got my mobo in today and it doesn't seem to be working...i think that its the bios. I am going to work on it tomorrow. Going to tryout p08. If that doesn't work i was told that p06 was the best for the 780i mobos.

Running my computer on a box while i am painting!

Off to paint the case!

The close ups could be worked on a little, the focus isn't perfect...
That mobo looks nice.

Painting Finished! Pics attached. My other 8800 should be coming in today so i'll be able to check that out. Next i have to get an SLI capable PSU

case looks 100% better painted. Cable management is perfect but for some reason looks almost messy in the pics. Its not though. Lovin the 780i

LOL at your posts buddy... the case looks nice with that black, the pictures make it look stickey and shiney...
I am probably going to be benching a GTX 295 this weekend with an i7 920, that'll be fun...
Good work!

Thanks, yea it looks so much better is unbelievable.

Additional Comment:

Alright.....got my second 8800GTS yesterday. Works and looks great. I can't test and bench them until i get my Corsair HX620. When it gets here i'll be able to tryout SLI and post some Benchmarks.

I have another thread open about whether i can SLI the 2 cards in the 1st and 3rd PCIE slots because that looks better then SLI'ed in slot one and two. I think i can still SLI them in the 1st and 3rd slot at 16x link.

Additional Comment:

Bought the Corsair HX 620 from Guitar freak and unfortunately he couldn't get it shipped out until today.. I should get it pretty fast since its being shipped UPS ground. I'll update with pics and Benchmarks as soon as that corsair gets here and i can plug in my second 8800GTS

I am re-modding. lol I am going to paint the inside of the case simi-gloss black because the gloss was to much. I bought 4 120mm blue led fans that i will be adding. My PSU should be getting here sometime at the end of the week.

Where should i put these fans? I def am going to cut out the back of my case and install on there....then i guess i'll just see where the case can hold'em

Ok here are the pics.

I cut out the mesh on the back of the case so it would; One be more silent and Second to move more air out of the case.

I put the 2nd 120mm fan in the front intake. Then i'll put the 3rd 120mm fan on the side for exhaust. (that will be right next to the SLI'ed 8800's so it'll them cool)

The PSU should get here before Sat!! Then i'll be benching the SLI 8800's

Did you type that '05 result right? Doesn't sound right PCMark 05 OR 3dMark 05, I think you mean 3dmark03 there...
Post a screenshot of it? Did you run the CPU at 4.6 on any of the benches? Can't wait to burn out that CPU on water, seems like its an amazing chip!
