nc6400 compaq upgrade cpu

i got a compaq nc6400 with a core duo t2400. i would like to know if i could upgrade the cpu? if so to what are my upgrade options? will i notice an increase in speed?

Would probably depend on the latest bios, released for the laptop, that may give you some idea whether or what the fastest cpu that can be used on it, the website should give you that info.
