Building a new gamer PC :) Help me out!

Hey guys!

I'm building a new gamer PC. I've got a budget of about $2000 USD, or 13000 NOK (I live in Norway).

Here's what I've got so far:

Quote:
Case
Antec Three Hundred

PSU
Corsair TX 750W

Motherboard
Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P

CPU
Intel Core i7 920

RAM
OCZ DDR3 PC3-12800 Platinum 6 GB (3 x 2 GB)

Heatsink
Prolimatech Megahalems

Harddrive
Western Digital Caviar Black 1 TB

Total
$1226 USD / 7692 NOK
So, first question: Does this look good? Anything I should swap or add?

Second question: I'm probably gonna stick a 4890 in there, then save some money for the 5000 series in september, does that sound good? And which brand of the 4890 should I get? There are so many! Sapphine toxic, sapphire vapor x, XFX, Asus, so on and so forth.

Third: How high in terms of OC-ing do you reckon I could go with the heatsink I'll be buying? (Prolimatech Megahalems). Would I need to buy a fan to slap on there considering there won't be one bundled with the heatsink. Or at least I think.

Also, is there any way of knowing which revision of the 920 I will get? I've seen a lot of people who are building i7 machines specify which revision they are buying (d0).

Thanks!

I would get an XFX or Sapphire. They consistently have great ratings and are known for good support.
XFX HD-489A-ZDEC Radeon HD 4890 Xtreme 1GB
SAPPHIRE 100269SR Radeon HD 4890 1GB
HIS is also a good brand, since I don't know what you can get over there.

Don't even think about firing that up without a fan on the CPU cooler heatsink.

I would add one or two of these.
Scythe SY1225SL12SH 120mm "Slipstream" ($9)
They have high air flow and reasonable sound. I think you can do 2x fans in push-pull with that cooler.
This fan has the highest air flow, but it is pretty loud.
Delta FFB1212EH 120x25mm ($20)

Looks like a smoking system.

Thanks alot, man!

I think I might go for an XFX since I've heard you get to return it even if it breaks when you overclock it!

EDIT: I couldn't find the XFX model your referred to, though.

Are these sufficient?
XFX Radeon HD 4890 1 GB XT
XFX Radeon HD 4890 1 GB XXX
XFX Radeon HD 4890 1 GB Black Edition

For optimal system performance, set your OS partition to ~10% of the HDD's capacity. If you do this first, you'll be using the outside of the drive platters, which is a considerably faster part of the drive. Separating your system partition from your programs and data is something I consider essential for performance and being able to reinstall the OS if needed.

If you're planning on going HD5000 series, why spend all the money on a 4890? A 4870 1GB is still a great card for much less, at least in the US. Save yourself a bit more and go with that. Depending on your monitor's resolution, you may not even see a difference between the two.
