Did I make the right choice?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150359 1. Do you think I made the right choice? 2. What do I need to do to go from an nVidia card to an ATI card? I've heard you need to "clean out" the drivers, but I'm not sure what this means. I game at 1680x1050 (can't remember if this is in my sig or not). |

1. Yes, I would say you made the right choice. The 4890 will take on anything you throw at it.
2. You can remove drivers in two ways. First off you could do a complete windows reinstall (my preferred way), but you can also use Driver Cleaner or Driver Sweeper if you don't feel like spending your evening reinstalling stuff

Thank you for your quick reply. It really came down to the 4890 on sale or the 260. The 4890 looked like the better choice and had better benches from what I've seen. I will have to look into those programs, while in school I can't afford the two days to get back up and running after a wipe.
