Is my PC infected?

My mouse keeps like stopping momentarily like at random times.

Or could it be from a demo I downloaded? It was the Majesty 2 demo from FilePlanet, but I don't think that that would cause a problem... All it did was install some updated DX stuff and C++.

What mouse? MX-518 has alot of issues with broken wires. It looks like this is the issue.

If you can't RMA the mouse, try opening it, and shorten the wire by an inch or two. Normally it is broken right where it comes out of the mouse.

It's a Creative Falat1y gaming mouse. I've had it for like 2 or 3 years now.

The cord, where it goes inside the mouse, is held in with about a .5" rubber stopper type thing.

Does it stops when you wiggle with the cable? Maybe it's at the USB end. Maybe it's something else too.

Nope, nothing happens when I wiggle the cord at the usb or mouse.

I don't like the name, but I like the mouse... If you think about it though it's just like someone buying a Razer or one of those logitech MX-Mouse. It's about the NAME and the features. I like the features on my mouse...
