Yeah, ive got two of them now.

Just got an ATI Sapphire 5770 for $159 and for $6 more (after mail in rebate newegg threw in an OCZ 700w psu) lol.

Im currently using an OCZ 600w PSU , but im selling that rig and doing an AMD callisto 550 system. *cross my fingers and hope it doesn't blow up*

I got a volt meter, would you guys be interested in seeing how the 600w and 700w rails look under load?

Thumbs up OCZ

Sure, why not.

OCZ PSU's are NOT junk or disasters waiting to happen, in fact many of them are quite good, it is just that have had so many models, made by so many different manufactures, with such similar names in recent years, running from below-par & sub-standard all the way up to (very recently) pretty good that it is very difficult to tell them apart, especially if you don't know when it was made.

When you change the manufacturer (to improve quality), but keep almost exactly the same name, when someone ask about that PSU it is difficult to be sure exactly which model they are referring to without getting the exact model number.

In a perfect world everyone would be like Corsair, Enermax, PC P&C, Seasonic & Zippy who not only have ONLY very-good and above units in their current line-up, but have never had any truly bad units.

Right now OCZ's position is very similar position to AMD's, they lost the "high ground of the PowerStream 520 era" and must now compete primarily on price.

The good news is that OCZ's most recent high-end offerings are pretty good, pushing excellent PSU's, so although OCZ will continue to market average/middle of the road PSU's to compete on price, they are once again aiming for the "high ground".

Here is wishing OCZ all of the Best,
Dave
