cool, looks like im gonna go for the ecstasy
thank you for the help, in about 1 hour i will be purchasing it,
about my specs i wont be running anything over 750w for now thats for sure,

now to test this PSU can i use a multimeter? i sure woudlnt want a bad PSU to ruin the system i will be building in march (i7 920, 2x 5850) which i plan to use this PSU. (i will be using custom water cooling & fans using its own circuit).

Additional Comment:

ahh before i forget does anyone know if this PSU has any overcurrent protection or such?

I wouldn't open a PSU, but you can use a multimeter if you want to

get something like that imo

I would assume it would have overcurrent protection. Not listed on NewEgg, but I think it would have it. I have seen lesser Power Supplies use it.

Some schooling going on in this thread
I have to admit that I have not heard about Etasis either...

Daves thread should be a mandatory read for everyone who's shopping for PSUs.

The basic theme of the thread is that Etasis is a good power supply company and many people wrote them off because they simply haven't heard of them.

I've gotta admit that the price did throw many people out (inc. myself). But ya we/I never heard about it.

Its up to $110 and out of stock now.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817608006

Maybe someone would buy it at that price because higher price means a better power supply right ? :P

Even earlier thread where i told a guy he got a good power supply that happens to be the same one in question i think.
