Advice on memory i7 build

Hello everyone, im starting my 2010 build (holding off on the graphic card for the moment), im getting a ASUS P6X58D Premium
(CHANgED)

Im looking for a 6gb kit ddr3 tri chan for under 200$,
i heard that low latency is good so is this a good find?

Patriot Viper 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 Tri Channel Low Latency for 159$.

or is there better out there?

EDITED:

looking for advice on good DDR3 tri chan memory (that is not OCZ) below 200$ for slight overclock, on a GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R board, running i7 920 at 4.0ghz >

Nope. CAS 7 (7-7-7-20) is better than CAS 8 (8-8-8-24), assuming the clock speeds are the same.

If you plan on overclocking, I'd recommend getting some 1866 or 2000 mhz RAM.

I'd stay away from OCZ. I had a set of ram that was a little iffy, especially with overclocking. I currently have a set of G.Skills and love them.

In that case, it is well worth it to get 1866 RAM. Anything over a 200 bus, and you're going to be limiting your RAM.

I can't recommend OCZ memory any longer.

And I can't recommend any brand clocked over 1600 that are also under $200.

Here's the best: CORSAIR DOMINATOR-GT 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 15000) Desktop Memory Model CMG6GX3M3A1866C7

Sucks prices have gone up so much. Couple months ago I got a set of Kingston HyperX 2000 cas 9s for less then $150 off newegg.

Id have to say this is your best bet.

If you havent got the mobo yet, Id recomend the Gigabyte X58A-UD3R. Seems to be the best board around $200 or less. No 222BCLK limit, supports tri-fire and 3xSLI, and has SATA 6Gbs and USB3.0.

do u think i will be able to reach 4ghz maybe a little 4.2ghz on a i7 920 with it?

Additional Comment:

looks like good board btw

Additional Comment:

because if i can, thats pretty much all i want: 4.0ghz to 4.2ghz ,on 920, running standard or little overclocked memory, have new sata ports and usb, and able to run 5850 this year add end of year crossfire 2x 5870's to it. That is my basic simple plan... oh and fit a noctua nh14 or maybe a TRUE...

You could hit 4.8+ with the right cooling.
