I don't think you can set a higher smp count than what it detects...

Ohhh, ok that makes a lot of sense. I was wondering if it was something like that...

Dang, now I gotta un-install, and download it.. AGAIN!!!

Additional Comment:

YEAH!!! I'm so happy!! I DL just reg. 3.0 and after entering the stuff the guide told me to, It is now working. I was worried at first because it wasn't doing much, but then it started loading up stuff!

I'm running it just for 7 cores so I have one for GPU folding, and other stuff..

Thanks for all the help guys!! I read down at the posts in the guide I was using, and it was a common problem that people had with downloading the wrong version.

It's very exciting... at least for me...

EDIT: One question, How do I know if it's a a1, a2, or a3 unit? It says it's Project: 2682 (Run 9, Clone 15, Gen 7) It's worth 25,403 pts, so I would think it is an a2 or a3...

Cool, It's pulling about 9k PPD for the CPU, and 17K altogether(GPU + Bigadv). So it's pulling more than even my GPU!

Thanks again for all the help guys!!

You can tell by the project number, but the easiest is to look in the console or log and look at the beginning and you will see a line the says "Core Required: FahCore_XX.exe" XX being a1, a2, a3. IIRC -bigadv wu's are a2.

Congrats on getting it going.

If you go to the top of that evag thread i link to in the beginning, they have a bigadv calculator. You enter the TPF (Time Per Frame) and it will calculate the PPD with the bonus figured in.

Ok thanks, and I saw the calculator and was gonna try it out today

EDIT: My average TPF is about 40 minutes, so I would get about 52k, but I haven't completed 10 yet No bonus scores yet, but 25K is still a big improvement; even with the longer times, I'm making a good 20K more per the same approximate time(e.g. 3 days). So I'm doing more research for Stanford this way

You can use the hfm.net monitoring client and it will auto-calculate the bonus points for all WUs that have them...
