should I upgrade, from 8800gtx?

I should have some money from tax return so I am itching for an upgrade from my 8800gtx. The only problem is that my card can still play most newer games like ME2 and Modern warfare 2 at 1920 x 1200 on high setting with little slow down. The only game I cannot play at that resolution is crysis. I would like to play Crysis at its full beauty. But is it worth investing $200-300 on a new card? It's been almost 3-4 generations since I got this card. So I am itching for a new one. Or should I wait.

5850 would be a smart investment.

you can probably get 70 bucks for your card ....

I would say it will serve you well .....

And it will destroy your 8800 by a wide margin and give you Dx11 support if the Dx11 titles ever make it here ...... LOL

What CPU are you running?

A 5850 would be a huge step up as long as your CPU didn't hold it back.

My cpu is a Phenom X4 9850 Black Edition. I bought it more than a year ago or something. I believe it's still quite a powerful processor. How powerful are the latest cpu compare to mine? Cause I don't plan on upgrading my cpu for another two or three years. Also, I have 4 gigs of RAM. and 700w Antec PS.
