how to remove b.scorecardresearch.com
after searching for some answers, there pretty much were only 2: 1) go to their website and opt out (http://www.scorecardresearch.com/Priv.html), and the opt-out is buried in a large page of text (i ctrl-f'd to find it) and 2) get some kind of cookie/script controller addon. i used firefox's NoScript addon, but that is REALLY comprehensive and disables all kinds of abilities to watch videos or view pictures, etc.--you have to constantly allow things either permanently or temporarily. Generally I wanted to not have to opt-out, but instead just block it. The only problem I had with NoScript is that on occasion I would temporarily allow a site like ebay to operate and scorecardresearch made its way back. Now I have opted out and I hope it stays that way, but my question is ... does anyone know of another way to prevent this turd of a research company from getting on your computer that doesnt require their opt-out or high maintenance efforts like NoScript? thanks for any help. |
