Unstable machine error

So, I installed Ubuntu on my folding rig. I have the cpu folding like a champ, as she has been for a week now. I also wanted to get my 4870 folding on this thing to, so I installed wine, and tried to run the gpu folding. It grabs the wu, but when it goes to engage, I get a machine unstable error. Is there anything I can do to fix this, or is it just not possible to run a gpu folder on Ubuntu? Thanx a bunch for any/all input

as far as i know, and i could be WAYYYY wrong, you cant fold on your 4870 in linux. with a lot of work i know nvidia's can fold though.

if you really want to fold on your 4870, run windows as the host OS, and run linux in a VM for bigadv units. that's what i do (no ati here though)

Running native bigadv without ATI GPU should be much faster than VM bigadv with GPU.

Remember though, You got a nice OC, but it might not be folding stable. Keep an eye on it till you know for sure.
