Project Lady Killer *Painting & Assembly Complete*

Ok, the GF loves pink, and I'm cheap so I found a cheap-o 50$ pink case. When I build a new rig most of my old stuff in my sig will go in it for her except the custom WC'ing loop. A H50 will cool it when it gets here, which I'm gonna paint also. Outside pink inside white.

Got the case from Trigon, 40$ w/ 10$ shipping not bad.

Let me just say this is the most moronically built case I have ever seen, the screws are placed in the most odd places, and to get the front cover off you have to remove 8 screws wtf!

The rest is done with rivits which I love and hate at the same time, it gives me a reason to go buy myself a dremel <3 but it will be a pain in the *** to have to drill/cut them all.

That frame model is still around? Man I have an old case, probably around 6-7 years old, that has the SAME frame. Same front USB ports and mic/hp layout too!

Probably the same old frame, it has 4-80mm fan spots if that says anything about how old it is .

Wasn't too bad on dis-assembly my new dremel tore through the rivets like a hot knife through butter, only took about an hour to piece it out. The HDD assembly l decided to leave together, its pretty cheap metal, and I can paint all the points that I want and still leave the HDD bay intact.

Gonna have to get to the store to get some paint and such tomorrow after work.

Additional Comment:

Painting finished looks good, I think I'll get cheaper paint next time though.

'

Putting together tonight will post tomorrow morning after finished, no parts going in it for a while though.

Additional Comment:

Finished putting it together, the front didn't turn out as good as I wanted the paint didn't stick very well to it but, still looks good overall.

Hey Spartacus,

Did you cut out that side panel design with a dremel and if
you did, What kind
Thinking of messing with mine as don't like the CM optional panels.

Have a couple different dremels but don't know if I could do
that, especially the tight turns.
Almost looks lazer or water jet cut.

Looks good

later

Hell no, its a precut design, if i had cut it myself I wouldn't have made it such a pain in the *** to tape off for painting . I did change out the cheap scratched up plastic junk for some descent plexi though. If I had my way I would cut out the z-design and do a full square window as to keep from blocking the view of the nice things that will be going inside. But, the gf likes the design for whatever reason so it stays.
