server status ok, client still not grabing a WU
GPU client says WU server not avaliable, even though all the GPU client servers are up and the http://assign-GPU.stanford.edu:8080/ it's trying to get it from says status OK. it's been doing this for ~ 24hours? I've deleted queue.dat and couldn't get 6.31 to download a WU either with the ati800 flag. I suppose I just need to wait? The GTS250 in the other room has been cunching WU's non-stop the whole time this one hasen't gotten a single WU. Additional Comment: all the ATI servers are up and running, still not getting a WU? I've been actually having the same problem with a 9600 GSO. And then when it finally gets one, it's a large packet. I do not have scientific units enabled and I seem to get them any ways. I have packet request set to normal.
Is there a list of servers we can request from? |

it worked on 10.1's perfectly, still not working, and it's on a fresh OS install now, re-tried 6.23, same situation, no WU's avaliable. I just tried all the assignment servers in IE and all report back as OK. Still not sure wtf is going on. It literally was working fine, I closed the client, changed some flush settings, it tossed a bad WU and tried to get a new one and still can't currently.

When you say status OK, are you visiting the RUL listed above or looking at the server status page?
Try to ping the work server. Just dont include the port. |

I haven't had the flag, I've tried asking for advanced cores always set to yes and no in the config.
Quote:
ping can't find the server http://assign-gpu.stanford.edu, so I was unable to ping it in cmd. It's not even getting anything from the assignement server, so it can't get a work server. i've checked my flags, all I have is -forcegpu atir700 and -verbosity 9 |

you can not try R800 with the 6.23 client, it will not recognize the card and will not even start up. I've attempted the R800 flag with the 6.3 client, infact it was on the 6.3x client the whole day yesterday and managed 23+ failed attempts.. It still does not grab a WU.

Yeah i just want to make sure he is able to make some kind of conact to the server. If the ping works then we know for sure that he is able to get some type of connection.
I don't know of one. I'm sure their is plenty of free one's out there though. |

Do you have any firewalls? Try disabling any you may have to rule out they are not blocking it silently. (windows firewall is great at that)

DMZ hosting and windows FW off. No WU. As much as I wanted to avoid another forum account I'll use once =.='' I think I'll go ask @ the folding support forums. Unless someone wants to post a thread for me?
![]() Additional Comment: looks like someonelse finnaly noticed and their mod has let the server owner know about it. http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=16788 typical F@H response just wait it out Last edited by Sephiroth : 11-20-2010 at 12:35 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Yeah i avoided creating a account over there as long as possible myself, but sometimes you have to give them a kick to get results.
