AMD Phenom II X6 1100T BE Hex-Core Processor Review
We saw back in September AMD released six new CPUs to add to their product mix. Today AMD is showcasing three new processors, including a new flagship model, the AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition. The other two processors are a Phenom II X2 565 Black Edition, and an Athlon II X3 455. You want just the case? For what? I have a couple styles...
I only have that one green one, it's big enough for one CPU... it's kind of rectangular so it makes me think possibly they use it for server CPUs too... But since it's my only one you can't have it! I have several slightly larger black ones, they say "AMD" with the logo on the top... you can fit two CPUs side-by-side in them... I also have a whole stack of CPU trays... I think each tray will hold 12 CPUs.... |

Poo on the green case. But the black one sounds awesome. I just want something to immortalize my dead Opteron 144. It deserves a good casket.
 So you don't mind giving out the CPU cases, but you mind on the CPU themselves?  Additional Comment: Out of curiosity, you didn't do a overclocked comparison? Also, what were the temps at 4.1 ghz (****ed good overclock at 1.425 vcore) under load? Additional Comment: Also, I don't see a cooler listed. Last edited by Deluded : 12-08-2010 at 02:00 PM. I have a few CPUs that I don't need, I'm going to talk to the staff first to see if any of them want them, and any leftovers I'll probably do like some sort of giveaway... All are quad-core's I think.
I did an OC comparison on one of the previous reviews... I don't recall the temps... I'm going to say around 60C... I'll hook it back up since it's still in the board and see what she does. |

I'm sure the rest of the staff have top notch hardware. Why, wasn't kwiky sporting several i7 920s, i7 860 and bunch of high end s775 stuff? Surely he don't need that.  Interesting on the OC comparison. Thanks man! I am wondering if you ever did a power consumption test between any of your systems? ie. i7 @ 3.8 and hexcore @ 3.8? |
