Hi,

Some times good thing to try even on a new card.
After making sure no problems with it as to working.

Just have to make sure no warrantee stickers or screw marks on casing
or heat sink attachments if new and problems later on

Pays to check and could help and don't know if tim added by machine or
manually but either could have a bad day

I do this will all my video cards, weather its a build for me or a friend. I always see at least 5'C temp drop, but 10' drop, good thing u changed it.

I might do this when I get home. I left the OEM thermal stuff on with card. I usually change it. 10C would certainly be worth it.
