This is what I use.. But you can hook up to the sevice port.. You dont need alot of pressure but just enough to displace the oxygen fron the unit.. Just need to let it trickle in after you are sure you have the whole system purged of oxygen |

I use a 1/4" schrader valve with a 3/16",1/4" or 3/8" tube extension and various adapters to fit whatever I'm purging. The 3/16" tube fits in 1/4", 1/4" in 5/16", etc. The hose is just regular 1/4" refrigeration hose so you would need to adapt the flowmeter to 1/4" male flare. Like blinker mentioned, you don't need much flow, just a faint trickle after the air is displaced.

Thanks for the info . Seems pretty straight forward . I have a local Air Gas supplier I may look at as well for pricing .
Off topic a bit ... I need some A45 silver as I ran out on my last project as a "first time brazer" I was checking prices and found that this is $95 for 1- T.O. and $98 for 3 -T.O. ( fleabay pricing) . Does this sound right ??? Drew sent me some last time with a butt load of other stuff and I don't remember flipping my wig at the time . MAN , that is unreal !!! prices. Flocko |

Silver has hit a new 30yr high causing this stuff to nearly triple in price over the last couple years. 1 troy ounce should retail in the $35-$45 range. The price on the 3-T.O. qty is a pretty good deal. You only need 35-45% for the copper to stainless joints on the flex line. Don't waste your money, I can supply you with a small qty to take care of those two joints.
You can use 15-25% on the copper to copper joints. I like the silvaloy a25T for that. It is quite a bit cheaper, has excellent strength and flow characteristics. It also makes for nice looking joints. |

Thanks for the offer Drew . You know I will accept
No shame here . I still have 90% of that A25 from the last build and should have used more of it than the A45 or I would not be in this position .... "Sigh" .... learning !! |
