965 & Msi K9a2 Cpu V
Prior I have undervolted the CPU's when clocking them up. With this CPU, I notice the CPU V options only start at 1.5XX and go up. No under volting options exist now. I used to have a 1.36X with the X2 in but now... The lowest V I can get is auto and CPU-Z indicates this as 1.46V. Thinking it is a BIOS error or some CPU thing, I tested the other V options and CPU-Z is reporting the corresponding V as in the BIOS. Confused...any thoughts on what is happening here? |

Not a real fan of MSI's boards. You could try a bios update and or roll it back. Check the support list too. Maybe it's not supported??
I have a s939 FX-53 that boots stock at 193mhz and should be 200. It's pretty unstable but works fine at stock. If I swap the cpu to an Athlon w/e, the board and everything works fine. So you could have a bum cpu, but it doesn't sound like it yet. Does anything else look funny in bios or windows? |

Although I would like some under volt options, we'll see how high it will go at <auto> settings. The goal is ~3.9 GHz so if it works fine at 1.46V I'll just leave it.
