Eve is a sandbox game. You can pretty much do whatever you want to do. PvP, mining, item running, crafting, the list goes on. There are no levels in Eve just skill training. The more time you put in the better you get at whatever skills you train. Good luck and have fun.

the first thing you want to do is join a corp for newbies and join their TS3 or vent server. Make sure you keep your training queue full at all times.

If you find a Corporation full of fun people the rewards are great!

sounds like a plan but the pvp combat mechanics seem to suck lol.

It has its merits in economy/production/mining/social but the target based combat and the slow turnover in ship replacement make it sooooooo lame.

I used to love playing eve but I couldn't justify the price. The point of the game for me was pirating in 0.0.

I want a game like eve, but faster than eve. I enjoyed eve for the time I tried it, but the sub fees and TIME it takes to do anything left me feeling like ****. I really, really, really want a game like eve, but faster paced....I would be so happy...but for some reason we are still stuck in the modern shooter fps genre god help me they are getting boring. How long do I have to wait? HOW LONG???!!!!

As I'm typing this I'm listening to eve music on youtube lmfao...game did have some good music. Below the Asteroids WHATHTWHTATWHAT

I tried eve online a few years ago for the trial period they offered at the time. It was a decent game but like you guys said its slow paced and combat was difficult for me. A little while after my trial expired I found X3 Terran conflict, great game I find better than eve online. Only downside for me is it's single player only, on the upside it's a very big game, so much stuff going on its confusing for me at times. Bought it in 2009 and I'm finally just getting the hang of it.
