Infected web site
However, google Analytics isn't seeing anything. I have not touched the website for months and I doubt the only other person with the passwords touched it either (unless he had someone else do it without telling me which I wouldn't put past him). What is triggering Avast? Is the site really infected? I was able to go into the backend of the website (created with WP) and did not see anything suspicious. There were entries in the bad behavior section that I could not decipher that may be suspicious. Any help will be appreciated. |

Do you have root access? Maybe it got rooted you can try and install and run RKHunter *google it* to see if it turns up anything.

I'm not sure if I have root access, but I wouldn't be surprised if I don't. This website is on shared hosting.

Does the site have advertising or other externally sourced element? Infected ads are common.

No ads at all. I am suspecting some foul play as the login information is in the hands of someone unaware of its importance.
