Ill rate mine about an 8/10. I have a bit more backlight bleed then normal (going to mess with the bezel to try and fix it), and the one dead pixel is noticeable only with white or really bright color behind it (because its simply a black dot). Its down in the lower left though, where I wont be looking except when I am using the start button or something.

The amount of extra "space" compared to 1080P is nuts. In the pics I have one with a browser of equal width on it and my 23in 1080P ASUS. The extra height is well more then I could have imagined as well.

I was scared of not having AG, but now that I see it, Ill never go back. Reflections arent an issue unless its all dark screen with a very bright room.

I did have it come on as a bunch of lines, but turned it off then back on, and it was fine. The first try I turned the PC on then monitor on. When it did the lines, the monitor was in sleep mode when I turned the PC on.

Packaging,

Next to the 23in ASUS

Lines and dead pixel,

I would've guessed that a 27 would look way bigger than a 24.

I also always thought the earth was flat.

It didn't hit the "wow" factor that a 24 next to a 20 does for me I guess.

Use 2560x1440 for a week and try to go back to 1920x1080 it hurts.

Then go to a 1280x800 laptop and cry.

25% off is what she will get + tax. So an apple cinema display is $750+tax after discount.

Thats really apples/oranges, as it was likely a cheap panel brand. These are the same thing as the $1k displays, but with cheaper bezels and stands.

Ok - my Catleap just arived - 2 days after purchase it's on my DESK and fully powered up running in glorious 2560 x 1440 res - ON a 5850 ATI card - so no worries with the Dual-DVI issues as the cable came with the monitor.

First impressions are very impressive - so far I've yet to locate a single dead pixel and that issues with the stand that others have reported I've yet to encounter. The monitor replaces a 27-inch Samsung and I can say the stand quality is about on par with the Samsung - which wasn't super sturdy though if an earthquake were to hit, I wouldn't be fearing that my monitor is about to collapse.

Honestly you do get a bit of a "wow" factor simply turning on the monitor, especially without the non reflective coat, it looks crisp and clean.

Text is great so far, I was concerned I'd be unable to work on this and I can say without a doubt I have no worries there at all.

I am quite happy and impressed.

I'd be all over this if I hadn't spent two grand in the past 8 days (motorcycle, insurance, repairs). Your excuse is a bit weaker; just offload the monitor you just bought on CL for a bill.

What about the PCBank 3View for $350? Doesn't look like too many are interested in that one.

Well considering the Catleap is only $365 shipped AND there's alot of feedback out there for it - I'm guessing most would pay that $15 "premium".
