That's a pretty good overclock on air. Can you post up more cpu-z shots of your overclocked settings? And what are your ambient temps like?

My room stays at 78, I know its high, my wife likes to save
Plus the case is sort of boxed in. I do have air flow but not as much as an avid clocker would like. It may go higher with more voltage but that is going to be hard to cool with my setup I'd think.

the ram is underclocked. you need to set the divider to 1:4. or is that by choice?

Apparently he found the cheat code for super ram boost.

I see whats going on now. The 1600 kit is an 8 gig kit. The model number gives it away. That means the 1333 kit is a 4 gig kit, total of 12 gig in dual channel. Now we know why he's having such a hard time on the overclock. Mixed ram, 4 slots filled. Much tougher on the IMC.

Should I remove the 4 kit? I dont think I need 12 gig. Then once I do that how do I get to spec? I know my mobo has some advanced mem tweaks, just dont know much about it. What should I look for in cpuz or whats closer to ideal.
_____________________ Ok I dropped the 4 gig kit and I'm at 7,8,9,9 do I want to hit 7,9,9,9 if so how? FYI CORSAIR XMS 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMX8GX3M2A1600C9 XMS3 - Xtreme Performance DDR3 Memory SPD Latency: 9-9-9-24 Tested Latency: 9-9-9-24 Memory Type: DDR3 Speed Rating: PC3-12800 (1600MHz) Tested Speed: 1600Mhz Additional Comment: OMG did that just make things run faster! I'd try 7-8-7-24 @ 1.65v @ 1600

In my bois I can see where to bump on the volts but Under Dram Timing Mode setting both DCT0 and DCT1, I get a long list.
I see: TCL, TRCD, TRP, tRTP, TRAS, TRC, tWR, TRRD, tRWTTO, tWRRD, tWTR, tWRWR, tRDRD, tRFC0, tRFC1, tRFC2, tRFC3, TCL, TRCD, TRP, tRTP, TRAS, TRC, tRW, TRRD, tWTR, tRFC0, tRFC1, tRFC2, tRFC3. Ah I got it now. http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/artic...M-Timings/26/2 So your suggestion is 7-8-7-24 TCL-TRCD-TRP-TRAS ( no need for command rate? ) Last edited by ulao : 04-01-2012 at 11:44 AM. |

well I adjusted the timing and set the "over voltage" to 1.65. The text when from white to yellow ( guessing warning ) the system tried to restart but failed. System was no post. So I reset the bios and tried with out the higher voltage. System this time restarted but still would not post.
Suggestions? |
