How to restore my chrome session ("restore session" button didn't appear)

The power had just gone out in my house and when I restarted chrome there was no restore session button that usually appears. There isn't a link in the recently closed tabs for restoring the session either.

What can I do, I need these tabs BADLY, I was doing research for school

There is apparently a method through history, when you go to history there's a bit that says x tabs, where x is the number of tabs you had open in last session, but that doesn't show up for me.

I use the extension undo closed tabs.

It is very useful because not only does it make undoing closed tabs quick and easy if your chrome crashes you can use it to bring back the stuff you had open again easily.

Other than that History should be able to do what you need.
