Here is a thought.

Hi I'm not sure what you are looking for but in my mind these are both equal boards and I'd go with the cheaper one of course that's just me I always go for the deal. Good Luck let us know which one you go with.

I own an Asus board love it. But have built a good amount of machines with AsRock boards and have to say there isn't much difference in the 2. I would go the cheaper route.

ASUS customer service - much like it's product reliability - have been getting consistently worse over the last few years.

I'd go ASROCK.

AsRock is an Asus company. The Asus boards are of better quality than the AsRock.

USED to be - they were like Scion is to Toyota.

They were spun off as an independent company a few years back now.

Gaming rig or not, I think my post sums it up. Do you want a cheaper board or a board with a longer warranty. With gaming there going to perform very simmilar.

Asus Boards are the ones I've seen breaking all the OC records that's what I'll stick with.

Looks like Asus will be getting my money, plus it looks cool!

Now which CPU do you think is better?

1. i7-3820
http://canadacomputers.com/product_i...item_id=045421

OR

2.i5-3570K
http://canadacomputers.com/product_i...item_id=045425
Apperently this falls under the "Best Gaming CPU" for May 2012 (http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...ck,3106-4.html)

Honestly - used to think that - but after experiencing a few - and all had issues - I've really gone off ASUS.

I guess it's only a conclusion you'll come to after you've experienced it for yourself.

I'm more concerned with day to day, 24/7 reliability and quality vs it's ability to do a one time bench record.
