Sapphire HD6950 2GB - CoolerMaster HAF-X - DisplayPort Blocked?

Hi Guys,

Folowing setup:
Sapphire HD6950 2GB
3x Dell U2311H
2 DVI, 1 DisplayPort
CoolerMaster HAF-X Case

Question is this:
I've got all my monitors connected, 2 DVI and 1 DisplayPort. The U2311H monitors have a DisplayPort connector, I'm not using any kind of dongle or converter, so I know it's not an active/passive converter issue.

My issue is that when I connect the DisplayPort cable to the back of my card, the port looks incredibly close to the dividers between the PCI slots in the back of the case, and it feels like I can't compeltely plug the cable in, which seems to cause the DP monitor to flick on and off.

I can get a clear signal after removing the DP cable and plugging it in a few times in the back, and pressing it in hard, allowing use of it for the rest of the session without issue, so I know there's no hardware fault, but it seems like the CoolerMaster HAF-X case and the Sapphire HD6950 2GB I've got just block proper access to the DP port on the card.

Does anyone else have this case and card combination? Do you have the same issue? The only way round it I can see at the moment is cutting off the piece of metal on the back of the case that divides the PCI slots, but I don't want to mod the case.

Can you shave a little bit of the plastic off around the connector so that it no longer hits the metal? That way you dont have to mod the case but only the adapter.
